Overview
The Northwest Indiana Junior Tournament Players Association (NWIJTPA) has been established to provide youth bowlers in northwest Indiana added
opportunities to experience difficult sport conditions, earn scholarship dollars, and earn spots into the North Pointe Junior Gold Championships.

The tour, in it's inaugural year, will have 6 regular events, followed by the season ending tour championships where an estimated $2,000 will be
awarded.  All members that participate in a minimum of three regular events will be eligible for the Tour Finals.  Members will be awarded junior gold
spots at each event using a 1:4 advancement ratio.  The NWIJTPA Board is in the process of securing sponsors for each event as well as the overall
tour series, allowing for enhanced scholarship opportunities for the NWIJTPA membership.

NWIJTPA events will be open to non-NWIJTPA members at an additional cost.
Non-members will not be eligible for junior gold spots.
Non-members will be eligible for the season ending Tour Finals if they participate in 4 monthly events.

Season One is in the Books

The NWIJTPA board would like to thank all the bowlers, parents, sponsers, and proprietors for
making the first season a success.  The tour generated nearly $6,700 in scholarships thanks
in part to nearly $2,000 in sponsorships.  Special thanks to Smith Ford Lowell, Indiana Harbor
Athletic, George's Gyros, Hammond Machine Works, Hobart Lanes Pro Shop, KV Windows,
Otten Trophies, and Northwest Indiana High School Bowling.  In addition, the generosity and
support of Hebron Lanes, Hobart Lanes, Stardust II, Stardust III, Camelot Bowl, and
Westchester Lanes helped us achieve such a great payout.  And, lets not forget the
tournament staff that donated all of their time and travel.  Other than lineage expense, all other
expenses incurred were either scholarships or awards.
Plus,
The NWIJTPA will send 20 members to the USBC North Pointe Junior Gold Championships this
summer for the chance to earn much more in scholarship funds.
