ZEHNER Captures 4th Title of Season
Defeats Munster's Tyler Hansen in Electrifying Finale
Dustin Zehner earned his fourth NWIJTPA title of the season with a dramatic
168-159 victory over Calumet College recruit Tyler Hansen.  The Purdue bound
Zehner found himself in third place following the 6-game qaulifying block with a
1,135 total.  However, only the top two earned automatic berths into the eliminator
finals. Thus, Zehner joined Tyler Trombetta, Jakob Sisk, Austin Schultz, Spencer
Powell, and Adam Batliner in the advancers round bowling two additional games
to determine the final two qualifiers for the championship round.  After 8 games,
Zehner and Trombetta would join top seed Tyler Hansen (1,181) and second seed
Jake Yankauskas (1,177) in the eliminator championship round.

Round 1 saw Trombetta post the high score (236) while Yankauskas fell victim
with a 195.  In round 2, Trombetta was unable to muster up the same type of
magic that propelled him into round 2 and was eliminated with a 182 when Zehner
stepped up and tossed a double in the 10th to finish with 187.  The finals teetered
back and forth with Zehner gaining the ultimate edge in the 8th frame with a
Hansen open.  Zehner earned $150 for the win.
Belzeski Rolls By Larson, Earns Second Title
Nebraska Recruit proves to strong for current Crusader standout
Nebrasja bound Kelly Belzeski seemed to be hanging by a thread throughout the day
before she found her stride in game 8 where she fired a tournament best 234 that vaulted
her into the eliminator round along with Portage standout Jackie Rhoda.  Rhoda edged
rising Lake Central star Megan Heflin and Chesterton's Rebecca Lohse for the final
eliminator position.  The pair would join top seeds Carly Larson (1,132) and Nicole Walton
(1,111) in the pressure filled eliminator.

Belzeski's hot hand continued as she fired a 212 to lead round 1 while Rhoda struggled
and was eliminated.  Belzeski again led round 2 which saw Walton eliminated.  In the finals,
both participants struggled on the difficult WTBA Seoul pattern but it was Belzeski that
grinded out a 162-134 win for her second title and the $150 top scholarship..
